Borussia Dortmund have explored the conditions of loan deal to sign Anthony Elanga from Manchester United, its concrete as reported by

Understand player side would be open to Bundesliga move, Everton are also interested. Decision up to Man United.

A statement from Merseyside Police read: We can confirm that Merseyside Police is liaising with Everton Football Club following alleged threats towards Directors ahead of the Premier League fixture against Southampton on Saturday, 14 January.

No threats or incidents were reported to police prior to the game, but we are in communication with the club to establish if any offences have taken place, and to ensure that any future reports are received through existing channels.

Any threats reported to Merseyside Police would be assessed & investigated as a matter of course, & any appropriate safety measures implemented. We are also aware of videos in circulation of fans approaching players cars as they made their way from Goodison after match.

At this stage no offences have been reported.

Read what Chris Beesley has to say about Evertons recent links to Michail Antonio and Duvan Zapata as the search for a striker goes on for Frank Lampard.

Dominic Calvert-Lewins fitness issues means the England international cannot be relied upon and Everton needs goals quickly if they are to scrap their way out of this relegation battle they are in.

The latest two strikers being linked with potential move to Everton are a couple of veteran marksmen but while Blues fans know all about Michail Antonio from his time in the Premier League, Duvan Zapata is arguably much more of an unknown quantity.

According totalkSPORTEvertonare ready to turn to West Ham Uniteds Antonio to rescue their sorry season with the understanding that the Londoners are open to offers for the 32-year-old, who has 18 months left on his contract, if they can sign a replacement.

Frank Lampard is the manager who is odds on favourite to be sacked next following a dismal run of form with Everton. The Blues have slipped to joint bottom of the Premier League and have lost vital home matches.

Up next is a trip to the London Stadium to take on fellow strugglers West Ham. David Moyes is also under huge pressure to pick up results with his side level on 15 points with Everton.

Does the manager on the losing side on Saturday get sacked? Quite possibly.

Everton midfielder James Garner has reportedly returned to light training following months out with a back injury.

The midfielder was signed in the summer from Manchester United, but has been injured for a large part of his time at Goodison Park.

Richarlison certainly let his feelings be known after Tottenhams 2-0 loss to Arsenal yesterday and here is what the former Everton striker was annoyed about.

Everton are reportedly keen on bringing West Ham striker Michail Antonio to Goodison Park on loan from West Ham for the rest of the season.

TalkSPORT understand West Ham are will in to listen ot offers for Antonio if they are able to secure a replacement.

What do you make of the links to the Hammers striker? Surely they wont allow him to leave to a relegation rival?

Ahead of the crucial bottom of the table clash on Saturday between West Ham and Everton, Frank Lampard and David Moyes both face a real prospect of being sacked, according to theDaily Mail.

The report said: El Sackico. Dismissal Derby. Call this Saturdays London Stadium showdown whatever you want. For David Moyes and Frank Lampard, West Ham v Everton means more than whatever silly tagline we could conjure up. It is set to be a match which decides their managerial fate.

The disclaimer is this depends on Moyes and Lampard not being sacked before then, a real possibility after their dismal Saturdays which only dragged both closer to the drop and chop.

According toIl Giorno, Everton are in talks with Atalanta to sign striker Duvan Zapata on loan for the remainder of the season with an option to buy for 15 million.

Frank Lampard is reportedly asking strongly for his club to bring in Zapata this month as they find themselves in the thick of a Premier League relegation scrap.

In the last few hours, Everton have launched negotiations with Atalanta general manager, Lee Congerton, for Zapata. The Italian clubs co-chairman, Stephen Pagliuca, was also present during the meeting with the Premier League side, saysSport Witness.

Another one bites the dust for Everton as Bournemouth agree a deal with Lorient for winger Dango Ouattara.

The fee is believed to be 20 million for the attacker as Everton were reportedly interested in making a move as Frank Lampard is keen on making additions to his attacking ranks.

The search goes on Lampard and Everton as the January window is beyond the half way point.

Our Everton writer, Chris Beesley, believes Frank Lampard has a decision to make regarding Anthony Gordons involvement as Everton take on West Ham at the London Stadium on Saturday.

Everton face another of their relegation rivals next up with a trip to London Stadium to face West Ham United but just what changes might the Blues make when they head to the capital?

Respective managersFrank LampardandDavid Moyes, both of course previous employees of the opposition club, remain under pressure with their respective sides having taken just 15 points apiece so far this season with the Premier League campaign now at its halfway mark.

After Arsenal beat Tottenham 2-0 yesterday to extend their lead at the top of the Premier League to eight points, Richarlison took it upon himself to confront Aaron Ramsdale over his celebrations in front of the Spurs fans.

Ugly scenes followed as a Spurs fans appeared to kick Ramsdale while other players and stewards got involved,

Richarlison said post match: What I really didnt like was their goalkeeper. He was celebrating in front of our fans, thats a disrespect to our fans. He should have celebrated with their fans.

Transfer Insider Fabrizio Romano believes Manchester United attacker Anthony Elanga is a player still on the radar of Everton for this transfer window.

The 20-year-old has struggled for gametime this season and Frank Lampard is looking to bring him to Goodison Park to reinforce his attacking options.

Romano toldGive Me Sport: They have to decide what they want to do with Elanga, he was one of the players appreciated by Everton. Also, Facundo Pellestri did very well in the last game.

The unthinkable happened on Saturday as Everton were beaten 2-1 at home by Southampton and are now level on points with the bottom of the Premier League.

Next up is another vital clash at the bottom of the league as Everton visit West Ham on Saturday. David Moyes side are joined by the Blues and the Saints on just 15 points so far this term.

Could playing away from Goodison offer some relief for Everton at the moment? Well find out on Saturday.

After receiving interest from Everton over a potential January loan move from Aston Villa to Goodison Park, Danny Ings is said to not be keen on making the switch.

The Daily Mail had previously reported a loan bid to bring Ings back to Merseyside had been rejected with Villa only keen on a full sale. Ings had made just eight starts this season after Villa paid 25 million to bring him in just 18 months ago.

TalkSPORTs Alex Crook toldGiveMeSportthat the striker isnt interested in relocating, saying:

Hes just built a new house in the local area, so that comes into play, you know, whether Mrs Ings will be in favour of rerouting. I was told he wasnt particularly keen on joining an Everton or a Wolves.

Well, that was quite the weekend wasnt it?

Bus welcomes before the match, protests after and - most crucially - another defeat for Frank Lampards Toffees.

The manager is under huge pressure, the board are under major scrutiny and Everton really, really, could do with some new players coming through the door.

Strap yourselves in for another chaotic week...
